[Petbunny] OT: computer info for this dubber

My CD-RW drive appears to be not working.  The little light will not even go
on when I pusha-da-little-button.

Now in 7 years I have never used this drive ... can it be blown ?

My brother has one that he took out of his computer ( a Dell,  mine is a
Compaq)... replaced it with a CD / DVD burner, so there is nothing wrong
with it.
He said I can try that one and see if it works.  Will that fit in my unit,
do you think .. are they all interchangable ?
Neither he nor I are at all computer savvy ...  we just buy stuff,  plug it
in and it works.

Akkkk  this is p*ssing me off.!!!   Just as I decided it was time to get
some of the stuff I really wouldn't like to lose moved to a safe place I
find I can't do it.  ......   Bah
