[Petbunny] Through the veil

Hi everybunny,
I am back from CA and thought I'd share some silly scenes that came to 
mind last week, which made me smile despite the sadness.

One winter's day, while visiting her Auntie Barb, Ivy found she wasn't 
feeling particularly well.  "A good thing Mommy isn't here, 'cause she'd 
worry and fuss" she thought.  But it turned out that the substitute 
hoomin was a pretty well-trained bunny slave and whisked Ivy right off 
to the dreaded V-E-T.  The Empress was NOT amused, so as always, she 
refused to submit to da indiggities quietly (Ashy would be proud!).  
After winning the first round against the vampire V-E-T, she lay down 
for a rest, feeling most unlike herself, rather faint and tired. 
 
Soon Ivy found herself waking up in a swirling white fog.  "How 
strange...  Fog is usually outside my window, not around Ivy Imperial 
Palace.  Speaking of which, where IS my Palace?  Hmm... and really, 
where has da floor gone?  Ohh... dis is berry mysterious.  <thump!>"  On 
the other paw, as she began to explore this strange Noo Land, she found 
that the faint ache & stiffness in her back and legs that had crept up 
on her the last few years seemed to have suddenly gone.  And she felt as 
bouncy & energetic as when she was a young kit.
 
She hopped on and soon the mist lightened and warm rays of sunshine 
appeared.  A bright golden gate came into view.  Surprised, Ivy stopped 
and stared... and read the inscription "Welcome to the Meadows at the 
Rainbow Bridge".  <THUMP!>  "So DAT is where I am!!  Oh my goodness!!  
Oh my..." And she ran forwards through the gate and stopped, looking in 
wonder at the steady stream of animals making their way through the 
gate, greeting long-departed friends, and exploring their new home.  And 
amidst the crowd at the entrance was a beautiful (and very 
efficient-looking) black & white English Spot rabbit handing out maps & 
giving directions to all who passed. 
 
Ivy raced over to her and bowled over a very surprised Belinda.  
"Belinda!!!  Belinda Harper!!!"

"Look, I can't be habbin' wif dis." said Belinda, getting up and dusting 
herself off.  "Ivy...  Ivy... HEY! Would yoo STOP running around me!"

"Sorry, Belinda, I'm just happy to see yoo!  And if I'm at da Bridge, I 
need ta find Ashy and Toolip and Buckweet and Cassa and Hunny and I, Me, 
Madeleine and --"

"Ivy!  My goodness, were yoo *always* dis bouncy and energetik?"

"Yes!!  I gotta go, Belinda, it was great seeing yoo and tanks for da 
map!  I'll see yoo later!!" and the little ginger bunny flew away.

"Oh boy, I better go warn Toolip...."

A few minutes later, a frantic gray & white lop skidded to a halt by 
Belinda.  "Belinda, help!  I tink I'm halloocinating!"

Belinda's eyes swiveled back and forth around Tulip, as she stared in 
amazement at the ginger blur surrounding him.  Finally she gently asked, 
"Err.... Toolip, are yoo talking about Ivy?"

"Yoo mean da Mouse really IS here?"  <Thunk!> and he fell over in a faint.

Ivy stopped and bonked his nose. "Hiya Toolip, happy to see me?"
