When  we had our kitten spayed (many many years ago!), it was  
something like 7-10 days.

We also had to use torn newspaper in the litterbox for that same time  
period to keep from any litter getting in her incision.

We had an older cat at the same time - and it was hard to keep the  
kitten quiet!  After the first 48 hrs, though, I think we let her do  
what she wanted but tried to keep the jumping to a minimum, figuring  
if she was sore, she wouldn't do something.

your kittens so remind me of our little Augie when I first brought  
her home.  So full of mischief and yet so sweet.
