I want to thank you all so very much for all the love and support you've shown to "us" since I posted about Valentine yesterday.   It has been a tough 24 hours, but we have made it through.  Dale and I picked up Valentine's ashes today.  He is now in his new place in our home on the mantel.  I hope he likes it there.  

Our vet sent a beautiful card home with him, containing a beautiful film print of The Rainbow Bridge story.  She also had a plant delivered to our house today.  She's been with us through thick and thin with Val.  She said yesterday, "he was an amazing rabbit.  He lived longer than he should have considering all the problems he had and he lived a lot longer than I ever thought he would."  She is a pretty amazing vet too!  

Clem seems to be doing ok.  He hid from me a bit this morning and didn't eat very much last night.  He is out and about and eating this evening so I am taking that as a good sign.  He and Val were constant companions for almost eight years and he has been glued to Val's side the last few days.  I'll be keeping a close watch on Clem for the next few days.  Val was the leader, Clem was the follower, so he'll have a few adjustments to make over the next several days, weeks or months.  

For such a small bunny, Valentine left a huge hole in our warren and in our hearts.  He was and will forever be much loved by all of us.  

Thank you again to each of you for all your beautiful messages.  I will be writing individual thank you notes as I am able to do so, but I wanted to send a group thank you too.
