[Petbunny] Rant about Petbunny

I got a nasty email when I was new, and I took it hard, but the good folks
stood up and told me not to listen to it. I'm sure glad they did. PB has
been a lifeline for me over the years. (I can't believe it's been years
already!) Don't listen to the nay-sayers. We want you here. Everyone,
even those who are slightly odd (we love you Peter!) are welcome here.
Nobody should leave just because of the mean chickens who strike off list.

(If I've emailed you offlist, I've meant it in a friendly way, and to not
flood the list with something.)

I agree Ken, with one thing added.

I've heard whispers throughout my time on PB about members receiving
nasty posts offlist by other members in an attempt to scare them from
posting or to newbies telling them their questions are stupid or some
other mean stuff, discouraging people from further posting.

I just want to say that whomever doesn't have the guts to say that
"stuff" onlist should flat-out be ignored should they email somebody
privately.

There are lots of time I've emailed folks privately about a post and
I truly hope my emails weren't interpreted as the mean or nasty
kind. My intent was to take the conversation to a private channel
because i felt it wasn't of interest to the rest of the group or I
was disclosing personal info that I didn't want broadcasted (or
archived) like my home address, etc. I have also interpreted any
emails I've received privately in the same vein.

I also enjoy the more personal 'what else is going on in my life'
posts. they really help me get to know my fellow PBers and their
personalities/family life.
