Okay, now I have to admit that I'm one of those people too.  I'll tell
people how to set them up, and I'll send them to people who have lost
graduation applications and now set my status to inactive so now I have to
do a boatload of unnecessary paperwork that if they could have just done
their job right the first time I wouldn't have to be doing AGAIN
GRRRRRRR!!!!!  But I don't typically send a read or a delete receipt.  But
then I'm insane about how I set my settings, and it asks me every question
about what it can and can't send.  Some systems it just auto sends the
receipt.  Lorna, I think you set things the way I do.

But! I can tell you, I *am* one of those irritating people who
never allow return receipts to get sent. Could be from my best
friend, could be from my mother, could be from some stranger.. I
never allow them. Just rubs me the wrong way.. which I realize is
just me being a prickly pear!
