[Petbunny] OT: dog vibes

I swear, not half an hour after I posted about Shiloh, she barfed up the cat
toy. She isn't back to fine yet--she may have ingested lord knows what
else--but she's much better than she was, and isn't barfing all the time
now. The bell part of the toy was still shiny, so I doubt it made it all the
way to her stomach, or at least it wasn't there long. We now have a strick
clean-up policy involving anything on the floor. It's amazing how much
neater the house looks, unless you go into Liv's room.

Speaking of dogs and tummies, our nephew-dog Julian (a mocha-colored
standard poodle) has been diagnosed with a mass in his stomach. Not exactly
a diagnosis, I know, but they know what it likely is, and he's at the U and
is going to have surgery. He's just barely a senior, and he's a weird dog
but he doesn't deserve to suffer (none of them do, I know). So we're looking
for vibes and prayers that it's operable and non-malignant.

Did I mention that the friend who was in the hospital with pre-eclempsia had
her baby last week (she was due Oct. 20)? William Warren was 2 lbs, 10 oz at
birth, and as far as we know both he and his mom are fine. My SIL who was in
the hospital due to diabetes is still pregnant and even got to go home. So
that's good news.

Oh 2009, when will you be over?

On an unrelated-ish note, I'm looking for any freelance editing or writing
work I can get. Gotta keep that salad coming. Good thing the garden is
producing right now.
