Hm.
I am a mac user so keep this in mind.
I have had the same problem. Usually when I am browsing the Internet as
opposed to a design program. I think this is a feature that allows you to
scroll through pages and documents (word maybe) faster. I noticed that this
usually happens if I hold the mouse down over a scroll bar it will kick on.
I think you can 'cancel' the action by clicking or hitting the esc key.
I would check your preferences. (er mac talk... PC user check your....???)
You should be able to click something to turn the option of completely
Again, I haven't regularly used a PC since... 1999, but should be the same
concept between the two platforms.
Now if someone could tell me why the mac at work "drops" chararters when I
am online. Must me a hint from the IT gods.
