What a horrific thing to happen to Karen Ken! She is extremely lucky 
that there was no nerve damage, it will just take time for everything to 
heal and hopefully she will not scar too badly.

I am sure the dog was just protecting his property. Since it is a 
neighbor I am sure you must know the dog fairly well, that it is not 
normally a dangerous dog. You are very special people not to insist on 
having the dog euthanized or to sue that family., so many people these 
days would do both.

Karen may have a fear of dogs now that this has happened. My dad was 
bitten by my uncle's German shepherd once and had a fear of big dogs 
after that.

Please pop in now and then and keep us posted on how Karen is doing.
